What’s a Savor Saver event?
Created in October 2008 to celebrate Savor’s 1 year on Etsy, a Savor Saver is an all-day event where special items are marked down — way down, as they say! Even 50% off!
The items will be listed in a high quantity and they sell out extremely fast — I’m talking under 2 minutes in some cases. So you’ll need to be quick to pick up the amazing soaps! Many soaps will be created ESPECIALLY for the event and might be exclusive and never offered again!
I’ll be publishing all the juicy details in my November newsletter.
My question, shall I hold the event on Black Friday itself (Nov. 27) or on that Saturday, Nov. 28? Please vote!

That’s what I’m thinking, too, Yalda! Plus I’ll be home from work on Saturday so it’ll be easier for me to give my full attention to the listings. It’s interesting that Friday/Saturday are running almost neck-and-neck right now!

I chose Friday because there is a chance I might have Fridays off (we pick our new shifts next week), but I definitely will not have Saturdays off. And my “smart” phone is not so smart! I tried doing a Savor Saver with it once and I missed out on all the good stuff! lol Plus there is that pesky problem of only being able to look at my phone when I get to a layover point. (I’m a bus driver for those who aren’t in the know.)
I vote for Saturday. Friday isn’t a day off in Canada - our Thanksgiving is in October. Saturday means I can participate, Friday means I’m at work.
Technically, I’d voted for Friday. However, from a retail standpoint perspective of at home shopping on the internet, I feel that Saturday would be much more accommodating to the masses. Whether you do your sale Friday or Saturday, it’s gonna be gangbusters either way. Members of the Savor fan club will always indulge in your sale opportunities whenever and wherever they can. That’s the beauty of your shop. Doesn’t matter…it’ll sell. People will buy. And if they can’t indulge in the sale, they’ll still peruse your shop. You can even do some secret goodie listings on cyber Monday for those who missed out on Black Friday/Saturday. Those who shop with you know that no matter what, they’ll NEVER be missing out and you’ll always hook them up! Lisa, Mike and Manuel…Team Savor rules!!!

I’ll be overseas and offline either way. Woe is me! But I say Saturday so that you can enjoy your own Black Friday and have a bit of a post-Thanksgiving rest before the Savor Saturday Madness!!!
I know that I, for one, have to work on Black Friday and won’t be able to refresh like I did last year. I’d like to see it on Saturday, when I can devote my full attention.
